s-10 heater problems

my daughters 97 s-10 has a heater problem...it only blows cold air ...it has a new thermostat and the engine heats up to around 195 to 200..but it only blows cold air ..any suggestions ?

un hook the heater hoses. Put garden hose on one side and purge out all the crap in the heater core. Then do the same to the radiator then the engine block and fill it up with the green stuff. That orange fluid is good until it gets slightly old then it turns into some kind of mud..aslo if you mix it with the green it turns into mud.

the heater cores being so high in the system combined with Dexcool and a system that has even the smallest amount of air in it will plug up a heater core. the dexcool sludges when exposed to air.
flush the whole system and go with green.

thanks ..i have already flushed everything but the heater core...im gonna do that this weekend .....i have been running the green stuff for last two years ...the dexcool stuff sucks ..it totally clogged the old radiator ...thanks again ill let you guys know how this works out

check the heater control valve to be sure it is opening.

these don't have one. temperature is regulated with a door driven with a feedback actuator.
