in dash gauges.

Hey guys was wondering hor difficult it is to put the aftermaket autometer gauges in the dash. Would like them behind the panel in the stock locations. Speedo and tack in the big holes and then 3 or 4 in the side ones. ALso what size gauges to do i need to buy for this. Thanks. If there is a section on this process someone could link me to I would apreciate that too.

Re: in dash gauges.

Do a search on here. This subject has been covered numourus times in the past and quite a few members have done this. I personally think that installing them behind the bezel is the better way to go since it allows you to angle the faces of your gauges to up to you for better viewing than installing them through the front of the bezel and having to duck down to read them...unless you sit low in the dogsled

Overall I am happy with them. To the best of my knowledge they are accurate. The only issues that I have is the speedometer is a little jumpy like stock and the same with the gas guage. I am going to redo them because I didn't center them correctly and its bugging me.

Re: in dash gauges.

thats cool, I'm thinking of getting the white faced ones they have, but I wanna see what color they light up first. If they light up green then that'll definitely not go with my red paint.

Re: in dash gauges.

Yeah they are the 3 3/8" gauges. I cut a piece of metal to fit behind stock speedometer and fuel gauge area and mounted the speedometer and tach to the metal. I cut the metal trim piece that covers all the gauges so I could mount the smaller ones to it. I need to adjust them so they are centered better in the dash bezel.

Check the prices at Oreilly's or Kragen. The MSRP on the Equus site is 129. At Kragen.com its 69.99.
