whats it called??

hello folks I have a 67 c10 longbed and the window crank handles dont work because the ridged mounting stud that it mounts to on the door are stripped, sorry I dont know what that part is called and would like to know which vendor on here sells these parts.

welcome to the board and heres your first ribbing!!

its called BROKEN..some say WORE OUT!!

your going to have to replace the crank ( window regulator) best thing I can say is check the board for used doors or someone parting a truck..you could pick one up for cheap you may even check the local u pull it

You need a window regulator. They are pretty inexpensive [ less than fifty dollars] They should not be that diffacult to install. While you are at it you should check the rubbers in the tracks and the window fuzzies [scrapers]. A good book as haynes or chilton will be a big help as it has the pictures. If all else fails and you get into trouble just ask, there are some mighty smart people on here with tons of experiance. Jim

there is a how to on the site, just do a search, pretty easy to do. I would recommend new hardware to, while doing mine some bolts were rusted and snapped off. so i just got all new hardware.. i belive they are 1/4 20 bolts.
