oil leak
I have changed my oil filter twice with two different oil filters. And I still get some oil seapage from around the filter seal? Any thoughts?

Use a small screwdriver and clean the block really good. Are you wiping any used oil on the ring? If not give it a try. It will help seal it better and keep the gasket from sticking to the block.

I will try the screwdriver idea yes I wipe oil on it it leaks very little not even enough to add in between changes but would still like to stop it.

i would use the razor blade scraper instead of the screwdriver but yeah make sure ya dont get crud into the motor

that thing that the oil filter screws on to my be broken, i say that cause a buddy of mine had that problem. then he played hell trying to find the right one. could be loose or broken. i think it called and adaptor or something to that effect.
take of the oil filter and check that thing out real good, see if wobbles or is loose or what ever. also make sure the old rubber seals are cleaned off. thats about all it could be from the oil filter

Check the surface where the filter meets the adapter. Clean it off with the razor or with a screwdriver, just be careful so that you don't gouge it. Check for any gouges or nicks when you get it all cleaned off. Also check to make sure that there isn't an old gasket still stuck to it. Sometimes this happens.
If the mating surface is clean and nick free, then I would clean everything up and make sure that it is actually leaking from that seal or perhaps it is leaking where the adapter meets the block and the oil just runs down onto the filter.

Make sure you don't over tighten it or under tighten it. 1 1/4 turns after it contacts the block.
