step notch, triangulated four link

i narrowed a 9 inch ford rear end and set up a triangulated 4 link, now to figure out where to build the bag mounts.

I think I was very helpful!! Of course wages wants to work on his truck until 3 in the morning and I am not use to staying up that late (old man with youngins). So, any suggestions I may have given are questionable at that hour.

I was suppose to help again Saturday night, but I got a better offer!

Lookin good, Just one question. Why did you put the lower arms on the outside of the frame?

You can mount behind the rearend on plates and build a crossmember for the top of the bags. But... that'll eat up space for gas tank. Or you can do the same only forward of the rear. That'll give you more lift.

i put the lower bars outside the frame rail because the wider apart the bars are they more stable the rear will be as far as controlling roll. My main concern is getting enough lift with the bags, so im looking into a true cantilever setup.

What if you moved the lower bars inward so they are right under the frame rail, then mount the bags to them. The one reason I am saying move the lower ones more inward is then you can get bigger tires out back........... but if you dont want bigger tires then no need to have the handling suffer.

just use some f9000 bags behind the axle. i'm sure they will give you enough lift. and a good ride.

it was a pete and kakes 4 link i modified a little, from my lower bracket on the rear to where the wheel mounts is over 10 inches, im not going to run a 15 inch wide wheel so it will work.
