Rust

I am sandblasting my frame to get knock off some surface rust and was wondering what i should coat the frame with when i am done. I have heard about POR-15 which stops rust. Anybody ever used it, or know what i should use. I'll post some pictures once i get my tank in.

you have opened up a can of worms here
POR 15is very expensive and from what ive read on here and the other forums ( paint and body and the 73-87 forum) por 15 is good but some people havce had bad experiences.
Another popular choice is to sand down the frame and paint it with rustoleum black after a good coat of primer.
Other guys just undercoat it

My suggestion is where do you live? if rust is a real concern I would probably do a couple coats of the Por 15 as its suppoused to do the best rust prevention. In addition if your truck isbeing used to show off por 15 retains the color and all
If youre using the truck as a daily driver and a knock around truck rustoleum is probably good enough and if youre in the south its probably good enough

others will argue this tooth and nail
my truck is geting the rustoleum treatment cause its not a show truck
