Totalled '73 4X4 Blazer
On New Years Eve a yoyo decided to come into my lane and run me off the road. I know the Blazer is rust bucket but it is mine. The rear end has been torn loose and the frame is bent.
Here is the question. I have a friend that has a '67 large window cab that is solid. New in box front clip metal. My thought is to use a '88 step side bed. Will this body fit on my '73 frame. I will post pics when I am able. It says I am missing a security token. |

K5's have a 108" wheelbase I think. And SWB are 117.5....Plus if the K5 frame is bent why use it.

I could use some door parts from the '73 if you do any parting out on it!

Ya your blazer frame is not the same from the seat back as a pick up and it's not as long as a SB truck.

Re: Totalled '73 4X4 Blazer
dang that sucks. i have a four inch supension lift, big wheels and tires and was hoping to use them instead of selling them at a loss.
if it had worked it would have been one bad '67 step side 4x4. |

Re: Totalled '73 4X4 Blazer
Keep your lift and tires, find a different chassis and swap the parts. A '67 cab and a '88 box are not going to directly bolt onto the same chassis, so get something with a wheel base that is close and make it what ever you want.

I didn't say it can't be done....Why start with a bent frame. I would swap the lift on to a better frame.....My.02
