Re: sparkplug wire looms
I can get you pictures later, but I have these chrome bowtie wire looms on my SBC. These use the existing (2) outer valve cover bolts. The holders slide in and are press fitted; they have yet to come loose. You gotta watch though, most wire looms only fit up to 8 mm wires, you need a special kind for larger wires.
I also have these for extra protection from the heat from my headers. They fit on the spark plug wire boots (straight or angled). They are made from a fiberglass composite material and protect to 1200 degrees.

Re: sparkplug wire looms
For under the header, I just used small zip ties to make a harness out of the wires. I attached the so-called harness to a small metal bracket I bolted to the side of the block.

Re: sparkplug wire looms
I have the ones like 72swb_stroker, they do the job nicely and keep the wires off the headers. I got mine in red from Summit.

Summit has some really nice ones. Here are a few links of some clean looking looms.

Re: sparkplug wire looms
Although I enjoy the hilarity in reading your 'eat a..' statement above mike.. remember this is a family friendly board. I can honestly say that statement is something I myself use on a regular basis though.. just not the right place for it. lol
That being said.. all you guys with perimeter bolt heads got it made. I haven't found anything I like for centerbolt heads yet.

Re: sparkplug wire looms
Here is my setup. I made a custom loom similar to the ones on the market but it bolts under the center cap on the valve covers. I was trying to achieve an "old school" look.

Re: sparkplug wire looms
That's a very clean and unique way of running the wires. What did you purchase and what did you make?

Re: sparkplug wire looms
I purchased the cap that sits on the top of the valve cover off of ebay. They are aluminum and I had to polish them. The valve covers are center mount so they attach under the cap. I added the GM 350 sticker to make it look more authentic. I then made the "wire holders" out of 1/4" PVC sheet and the "loom holder" out of .100" aluminum on a CNC router.
