what's up with the "new" fenders? I never heard that they retooled them I guess. and pics? I have a set from last year still in the box and they came straight from Tri-Plus. they are black though..

Here's the description from GMC Pauls, where I got the...I guess they used the original tooling.

These New Zinc Fenders Are Made From All New Tooling And Assembled In Assembly Jigs Constructed From Original GM NOS Fenders, We Feel These New Zinc Fenders Are Of GM NOS Quality and the others were just short of this.

1967 Chevy & GMC front fender. Manufactured with all new tooling and fixture jigs for a guaranteed EXACT fit just like your originals. THICKNESS of fender skin 0.90mm ( ORIGINAL'S were 0.85mm TO 0.90mm )-- Inner fender brackets Thickness1.50mm that's exactly the same as original., but stamped from a new improved zinc impregnated steel for the outer skin, then a electro deposited primer in black is applied, resulting in the ultimate in corrosion resistance. Are the fenders stamped with or without the side markers. I guess what I'm asking is, you have them listed as 67-68.

I’m interested in the doors and fenders. By Northern VA and being that you are in the Air Force (thank you for your service) I surmise you are near DC? I have plans to be in Richmond on the 20th or 21st. When you say that you “cut the top hoop” did you actually have to cut and resize them or did you trim them? I have three sets of doors all need more four hours of work, it will make better economical sense, if these fit otherwise, to buy these from you. Did you install these and the fenders on a truck or just fit the doors to the cab?

Thanks for the support, always mean a lot. I am in Chantilly, about 30 mins west of DC. I just fit them and then came upon some good quality used ones, so these parts when back in the box. On the doors, I cut the spot welds where the hoop meets the back of the door in order to adjust the height of the hoop, and then the deem where the top hoop meets the angled front hoop to adjust the rake. I think I only did all this on one of them, but I'll have to check. From what I have been told you'll most likely have to do this on the aftermarket doors. Let me know.
