Have you done a bench seat swap

Have any of you guys swapped your old bench seat to one of the newer split bench w/ the intergraded seat belt like in the late model gm trucks. Im shopping around for one, but i would like to know what kind of issues i might run into. Pics would help

Re: Have you done a bench seat swap

I got a 91 or 92 bench with a arm rest it was fairly easy. I used the stock 73 seat track and a 2" spacer in the front and the back bolted the stock seat track.

Re: Have you done a bench seat swap

Here is a thread talking about seat swaps. Seats

The newer style seats require some floor modifications. There is a link in one of the posts in the above stated thread that shows it. It can be done, and looks good in there.

I also have the 88-94 seat in mine with a little fold down arm rest. I'm looking for the 95-98 seat though.

Re: Have you done a bench seat swap

Why did you have to use spacers?

Re: Have you done a bench seat swap

Probably because the 88-94 seat sits low. That is one thing I don't like about mine.
