Re: My new exhaust system

Looks good... I like the sound of a single exhaust better then duals.

You might have a problem scraping though (especially if truck is lowered).
I had long tube headers but changed them and ran thru the frame crossmembers..

Can't imagine how scary loud it is with the cut-outs open. Now you just got to work on flaps so you can open them from inside the cab

Re: My new exhaust system

I'm probably going with a single on a new motor. More scavenging, smoother sound, less weight. I also won't have to spend a fortune on two e-cutouts. And regardless the chevy firing order is boring. People think it's terrible to do a single, but they came with them.

Re: My new exhaust system

I had a set of cutouts along time ago that were controlled by cables, that set is so much nicer. The system looks good. What diameter did you use? What type of muffling unit did you use?

Re: My new exhaust system

I just reread my post, I meant the set you have are nicer than the junky one I used, they clattered and clanged all the time, sounded like a farm tractor with a flapper on the exhaust.

LOL. Good eye. More unit clearance is always a plus when it comes to seat time.

Yes they do sit low I wish they were a few inches shorter. Plus I think I need shocks up front its too bouncy when I am going down the freway.I hate hitting those low dips.
