Got a windshield frame

So I got this windshield frame from a beat blazer in the junkyard by me. It is rusty in the center but not where mine is.

But what I am wondering, is should I try and repair this one, since the areas that it is bad are the flatter spot, or should I just use it for parts? I am not sure, but I think mine is getting weak in the same areas as this, so if I do use it for parts, and then find a problem, I won't have it.









This is one of the sports mine is bad. The other is right above it where the weather stripping connects.






And before anyone asks why I bought a rusty windshield frame, it was $7, so I figured I couldn't go wrong.
