Whiteface Tachometer
I know it has been discussed many times, but I am wondering
what aftermarket Whiteface Tach will fit in the tach spot on my truck? I am looking for something that is white faced with a chrome outer ring? Anybody out there have any advice!! Thanks!!

SunPro has a 3 1-2" tach. Here's a pic of the one I'm working on.

That is nice! Did you have to do alot of cutting, or did it slide
in easy? I have the same whiteface look as you, and only need the tach to finish it up.

No cutting at all. I looked a long time for a shallow depth tach(2"). Rear plate has lots of room. (SunPro model CP2012)

Ron...can you see the numbers very well when driving...you know, at a glance? How about night time, do they show against the white ring?
I would like to do the same on mine...but re-doing the numbers is kinda out of reach at the moment. I know I need a white tach, and the flash was a bit strong...but you get the idea what I want here. |

I haven't installed mine yet. Getting my stroker pieced together
and then doing the changeover all at the same time. I can't foresee any problems with the orangeyred needles on the white background tho. Time will tell. |

Hey Dan,
I used the same TACH as Ron....I don't recall the depth as I did do some cutting...specifically the acrylic piece and the metal backing plate...I did not have to cut the black guage bezel the diameter fit perfect....got it from GI Joes...
