88 K5 Blazer Transfer case question

Hey guys,
I just bought an 88 K5 Blazer and noticed that the transfer case is leaking, does anyone know what kind of transfer case is in this thing (its all stock and has a 700R4 if that helps) and where I can go to get a gasket kit?

Thanks!

Acording to this chart: http://www.coloradok5.com/specs.shtml#1988

it is either a 208 or a 241

Re: 88 K5 Blazer Transfer case question

1988 came with a NP208. 89 was the first year for the NP241...

Re: 88 K5 Blazer Transfer case question

FYI ......If it is a 208 you should have the output shaft snap ring replaced with the new upgraded one if it has not already been done. They ALL break the snap ring and destroy the case over time. My buddy just had a loud pop come from his and sure enough it was the old outdated snap ring!

Re: 88 K5 Blazer Transfer case question

There is a tag on the back of the case. It is a round tag held on by one screw in the middle. The model number of the case is stamped on the tag.
