Red face Leaf springs

Ok guy's i'm a bodyman not a mech. So i need help
i have a 1967 gmc long bed rear leaf springs i want to lower a couple inches i've been talking to a couple guys they say i need to make shackles longer?
Does this make since
or take the hangers that atach at the rear and flip them and switch sides
i need help

you could also put the axle over the leafs, but more fab work in that...

longer shackels would work until you hit the bed floor...

how flat are your springs? You could have a spring shop make new one's...

cpp sells drop shackles. this would be the easist way IMHO

Shackles would be my first choice since they won't have an impact on the ride.
