for the inliners

I have a 67 250 head, and i'm pairing it with a 81 250 block...i've done some parts research and it seems all parts are the same as far as the valve train goes except for the valve springs...which ones do I need to use? the ones for the 67 head, or the one for the 81 head? what's the difference? does it make a difference? is there a better option?

Thanks!

Re: for the inliners

Cant answer specifically as to the valves but if you log on to inliners.org there is an amazing amount of info on this very subject. One guy in particular goes by the name "twisted sixracing" or something very similar he drag races 250 6's in an early chevyII.and has lots of knowledge on this. There are many others over on that site good reading and lots of Bonneville coverage too!

Re: for the inliners

Anyone else have an idea that's swapped heads...i'll be running springs that are made for the 67 just to be safe, but I didn't know if it made a difference.

Re: for the inliners

Unless you have changed the cam, either would be adequate. probably not much difference in either one. Jay
