God Parted the Rain Clouds long enough for a Drive

I got to take the 64 Shortwide out for a drive today and it was GREAT. I didn't let the squeeking Power Steering belt ruin the drive. Its a bit to long!!! The truck drove strait down the road with great acceleration and runs great at 70MPH. Dont have a tach but with the 3.08:1 ratio in the back it doesn't rattle my teeth out anymore. This truck is one smooth ride. I think after feeling the difference in the front with the new sway bar, its time to put one on the back as well. No more diving into the turns for this truck. Well its raining again but now it has a full tank of gas in preperation for the next sunny day. THANKS GOD!!!!

Sounds like you had a blast, must be a great feeling and I'm sure the truck was turning a few heads

Its hard to drive and take pictures all at the same time. Just kiddin. I guess I should have had my Son take a picture as I was leaving the driveway. I think I am going to have him video the departure the next time its nice outside that way I can post it on youtube. Did you see the pics on the build thread? MY SONS 64 SHORTWIDE. I am now putting a fuel pump cutout presure switch in the 64 so the fuel pump isn't running all the time, and getting a shorter belt for the Power Steering. It never ends.

Alan's Classic,
If there is one thing I am sure of, "that day" will come and it's a great feeling when it's all done.

My Son and I spent most of yesterday Cleaning and Reorganizing the shop from the time we spent with his truck. Now there is a 69 Chevy short step and a 67 long fleet that are going to be spliced together to be a 69 Chevy Long Fleet and a 67 Chevy Short wide when all is done. I really wanted to go to work on MY 56 Chevy Bigwindow Short Step but I need to make some $$$$ before I go to work on it. I am putting the 69 Long Fleet together for my Older Son and the 67 ShortWide will be for sale as soon as its done Hopefully by Early Summer.
