towing mirrors dents? how to prevent it?
well i have the regular mirrors on my truck but i have liked the towing mirrors until my dad ripped one out and put a big ass hole in the door. anywho i noticed that in each location on the door there is a dent from the mirror. is there anyway to avoid this? or is it just the way the po treated the truck?

There's supposed to be a reinforcement piece bolt inside the door behind the mirror...looks like a bent bar with flat ends...if that's not there, it's quite possibly why your doors have dents in them.

Re: towing mirrors dents? how to prevent it?
the dealership might have them...they are a factory part, but if the mirrors are aftermarket the factory part may not work...you have the make your own...it just needs a brace between where the mirror mounts and the inner door skin...the outer skin can't hold the weight of the mirror well...that's all..
