There are quite a few guys on dragstuff with big body cars running glides. The issue with them is the very soft 1st gear. But if you run the right converter, they can be effective, but t really depends on your combo. Since my motor is sorta soft on TQ NA, it would not be the best choice, but, since i plan on spraying a decent shot of N20, it could be very effective with the huge increase in TQ.

I'd say in short, for a heavy vehicle TQ helps a lot, but that's with most all tranny's..
