Another new guy here!
Hi my name is Aaron and I'm addicted to trucks. I here this is a good place to talk to other people afflicted by this "disease". I just picked up a 78 Chevy 2wd short bed for $700. I'd hate to compare it to a truck as beautiful as Boatpuller's but it is the same basic truck just a little worse for ware. Its a Russet Brown and Buckskin combo. A little rusty but fixable. I've been lurking here for a few weeks reading years of back posts and looking at all of the sick trucks on here. From what I've read you all seem to be very knowledgeable and friendly so I hope to learn from you all.
Aaron

Welcome man! Looks like a real nice starting point. What are your plans for it?
Also I don't know that the term addiction really even begins to cover what we have. Last edited by JohnC; 01-20-2010 at 04:13 PM. |

After reading the 700r4 post I'm thinking about going that route. My T350 took a dump on the trip home after I got it. Its got a healthy 350 in it. I'm just going to freshen it up and dress it to kill. I've got a set of vortec heads and an intake already. Going for a old school hot-rod look so finned valve covers and finned oval air cleaner. suspension... same as N2TRUX had before the ride tech kit install. I gotta have a trusty daily driver in case my Sonoma craps out. Still undecided on the rims. I like the Coys but I want to do more searching. I've got a set of Foose Nitrous 17s that are just waiting for warm weather I might stab on it for now though. That's it in a nut shell. Re: Another new guy here!
Sounds like a real good plan. I think it will end up being a killer truck. I like the look of these trucks stock somewhat in appearance, but with just little things done here and there. Don't get me wrong I like the modified trucks too, but I think it yours will turn out nice. Keep us updated, and we love lots of pics.
Man those bikes look fun. I'm just not real comfortable not having something surrounding me. I don't like it just being me and pavement if something happens. |
