Re: 8-10" of lift

They didn't make them with the d60 and 14bolt. But Been swapped in by a owner after the military. If you look around you can find d60 front ends for 600-1000 used and in fair condition.

Re: 8-10" of lift

yea I just love the way those blazers look and was hoping to kill two birds with one stone as they say. I get my passport soon so after that I can go into the states and scoop one if I cant find any decent ones here.

Re: 8-10" of lift

I didn`t have any use to read about lifts this big until now.I`m gonna have to read this through.Me and a buddy of mine are goin`into the mud boggin`bidnits as of the other day when a call came about a`72 K/20.Way back on an old farm site...just an ancient farm building/no house way back a dirt lane that crosses a creek at one point. It felt like a good mile. It`s a 350,4spd,4.57,locker,Plain Jane,Hugger Orange/White top, running truck....@$1,500 each(-No,that`s the only one-)
He has a bunch of newer truck springs we plan to make our own packs with. We`re going for 8".

Re: 8-10" of lift

hell yea! I swear these trucks are a disease, more you get infected, the more you want lol. any pics of the new addition? Im still torn weather I should just leave this truck stock or go all out. if I wanna lift it now I have to change front and rear diffs, the gears in it currently are 3.07 and if my friend with 3.73 has problems I have a feeling those will be even worse.

Re: 8-10" of lift

I think Im going to keep stock and slowly acquire lift, front and rear diffs, tires, ect. this way at least Ill have something to drive. every one here knows how easily stuff gets out of hand and turns into a full restore. I just wanna drive it lol

Re: 8-10" of lift

I`m in a similar situation with my`72 GMC.I`m lifting it 6" and have 12.50/37s.It now has 3.54s,TH350,and 12.50/33s.I`m going for it,but I expect it to be kinda lame and prolly suck gas.I have a 4.10 Dana 60 and HO52 as well as a 4spd...all planned to go in.But,that has to wait until I go through the axles and brakes.Everything is fresh on the 3.54s and the truck needs springs, shocks, and tires.I`m going for it.I`m sure I`ll be digging up the money to fix up the other axles quicker once I do that.At least it`ll ride and handle better.
