1965 GMC Windshield - dumb question of the day
Getting ready to finally spray my truck. I have pulled the windshield, not worth saving, and was wondering what year windshields are interchangable?
Thanks for all y'alls knowledge it has been a godsend with this build. |

Re: 1965 GMC Windshield - dumb question of the day
I got a new windshield for my 65 GMC from this place for $128.00.Its the windshield only no install.And if they have a warehouse close to your city and zip you can pick up yourself and save about $100.00 in shipping.This is good quality PPG or now PGW glass as my friend the windshield guy told me.This is the link;

Re: 1965 GMC Windshield - dumb question of the day
Thanks for the link. I checked and they list a windshield for a '63 for $227.90 which I didn't think was too bad of a price. They have a warehouse local to me as well.

Re: 1965 GMC Windshield - dumb question of the day
'60-'63 Chevy/GMC are interchangeable and the 4-5-6 Chevy/GMC are interchangeable.
I found a local automotive glass shop that will furnish and install a 4-5-6 windshield, minus the rubber, for less than $200.00. This includes removing and discarding the old glass & rubber and a guarantee. That is cheaper than a lot of places charge for the windshield. |

Re: 1965 GMC Windshield - dumb question of the day
My windshield cost $140.00 installed and I furnished the new rubber. This was for my 64' C10.

Re: 1965 GMC Windshield - dumb question of the day
Yes it is Jon.
It's been a couple years since I checked, but at that time I was quoted about $150.00 installed for a 4-5-6 windshield. That was here in CDA, but I imagine they've gone up some by now.
