Dana 60 0r 70
Looking to put a DANA 60 or 70 under the rear of my 74 K20 and I was wondering is there any difference in widths of a Dana 60 from a single axle truck as opposed to a dually or is the only difference rims and lugs, axles from a dually.

Widths are different, The spring perch widths are different too.

Why do you want to change out the 14ff?? I'd rather have that over the 60 or 70, in less you want to go dually, then get a 70.

Well the main reason I am asking is I am trying to get rid of my 10 bolt up front and put a dana 60 up front and most of the axles around here are sold in pairs. They seem to be getting very hard to come by I can buy a dana 60 front with a dana 70 rear but it's only a package deal, oh well just keep lookin.

You should just get that combo, the 70 has been said too be stronger, and a rear 60 is weaker than 14bolt from waht I have heard.

Reason they are sold in pairs is they know they ain't worth nothing...lol.

Ya your probebly right. Still lookin in Ontario thou for a good dana 60 front and I will stick with my 14bff in the rear. This will be a great place to start on my build. Trucks riped down to the frame. Doing a complete restoration. Been welding cleaning for a couple of weeks now soon I will be por15 the frame.
