front brake drums

Hi all I'm new to this site and I have a question to put out there. I have a 56 GMC with six bolt pattren. I meet a fellow trucker at a show and he had the same truck as I do only he was driving with a five bolt pattern. I asked him what he did to change it and he told me he used brake drums from a late model car. Being a dummy: thud: I forgot to write the info down. And this was the last show of the year so dose anyone have any info about this. Thanks for any info you can give me.

Re: front brake drums

I have 5x4.75 drums on my 55. They came off a 57 chevy Bel Air.
