1955.2 Heater Core/Blower Motor - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I can't find any info in the factory shop manual about the heater core and blower motor. Anybody have any info?

I figure mine is leaking because when I got the truck, the heater hoses were disconnected from the water pump. Just wondering how to check it and/or fix it if it's leaking.

they are two types of heaters (standard and delux)and gmc is different then chevy. they come apart easy enough but take lots of pictures. they can be very rust inside as animals love to make a home in them . essentially, remove disassemble bead blast them paint them reseal them install a new core and re install. with new cables.

It's not a deluxe heater, there's no deluxe panel. I'm not even sure the heater that's in there is a factory piece. The box in the cab is round with two doors on it that open. I'll post a pic tomorrow.

thats not a facory heater. It looks like an aftermarket or older application.
