Need a Measurement

O.K. guys.
I need to know how far up the brake pedal sits from the hole in the floor where it comes through.
This is on a 57 with the stock pedal. I have to make a tube to conect my pedal to my booster which I mounted behind the cab.
Thanks a lot.
Kim

It may not be the same between trucks. My cab may sit higher on the frame than yours or the lever may be offset in another direction. After I mounted my cab I had to cut the pedal and reweld it to the hight and arc I wanted it to travel.

The pic helps. If you could measure from the bottom of your pedal to where it comes through the floor that would help.
I could compare yours to some others and get an average.

Re: Need a Measurement

Here is a photo that shows the stock pedel location. I used the stock pedel and made my own under frame setup. You can see that the stock location is farther to the right and lower than jjjmm56 aftermarket one.

Re: Need a Measurement

You might want to think about mounting some type of sleeve with nylon bushings for your rod to ride in. That looks like a good distance to the master. And about pedal hight I'll thake measurments tomorrow but maybe wait to adjust it till the cab is on and seat is in. But keep up the good work,I always enjoy seeing other peoples progress

Re: Need a Measurement

Kim, I have a 55 and 57. The 55 I did the upgrade to PB and mtd the bracket under the cab. I still ended up cutting 3" out of the pedal.

If you would like a measurement of the 57 pedal in the stock location I can get that too. It's still untouched.

That would be great. It'll give me an idea of what I'm going to need to do to mine.
