No, NOT in height.

If you look at the red truck above with the wood bed stakes you can see that the headlight pods stick out about an inch from the front of the truck and then the chrome headlight ring starts. If I did the mod; and it's a big if, it would be to take a 1" section out of the pod so that chrome headlight ring started right at the body instead of the pod jutting out an inch. Still buggie - but just a little less bug-eyed.

Kabwe, If you're still watching this thread, I'd like to hear your opinion? I just bought a used Hobart 140 MIG welder - though it's been 20 years since I welded, and then it was stick welding - I'm thinking if I take my time and watch the heat that a mild mod like this would be within my limited abilities. What do you think of the idea and of my chances of pulling it off successfully?
