I doubt it. I've read things on several truck forums concerning they're products and no instructions. They just want you to call them and try to figure out what you've got. Not the best method in my opinion, but each to his own.

Dunno ... maybe it's just me & mean no offense, but if someone requires written instruction on how to cut a chassis in half and install an entire new suspension system then maybe one should not undertake this sort of job.

well it is a bolt on style kit? you would think they would dimension or call out the lay out of the holes. i have bought stuff from suicide doors and have had hit or miss answers. best of luck to ya. if all else fells grab the ole tape measure and give it hell. measure twice cut once.

Re: anyone running the sd rear wishbone system?

think I have it figured out, it would have been nice to know if there were exsisting holes to match up or not. I didn't see the that the bed mounts were made into the piece until further observation, that helped alot. You hate to spend that kind of money on something and not be sure of the measurements it was intended for. I can say that the construction of the pieces are excellent.as for shane no offense taken, just thought it would take some of the extra work envolved to figure these details out of the equation. The items I have recieved from porterbuilt have all came with helpful insight.

Re: anyone running the sd rear wishbone system?

Hey royo. Sorry to resurect an old thread, but a question about this kit. I have a 1 piece drive shaft, can you tell by looking at the kit if it would hit the wishbone support member?

Also, do you have to cut the bed out for the wishbone itself or only step notch/bridge?

I emailed SD the same questions and received a response that the drive shaft would hit and you have to cut the bed for the wishbone, but I figured I'd ask you as well given you are almost there.

Thanks!

I,m going to use a two pc drive shaft. from the looks of it a single will hit and yes you will have to cut the bed in a v for the wishbone , I have a pic but i still need to clean up the cut and welds

Re: anyone running the sd rear wishbone system?

I am also running there rear kit and I will say the quality is very very good with out a doubt. As for not having instructions I am more then capable of figuring it out but sometimes have a few numbers to go off of is better then hoping you are thinking the same way the guy that designed it. I am happy with the product but for the price you would at least expect a simple piece of paper that at least toss' you a bone on some dimensions. I will be running Porters front end stuff for sure since he is the one that designed and developed it, but like I told nate I didnt really care for the bolt in notch and the bolt on axle brackets.

Re: anyone running the sd rear wishbone system?

A one piece will hit the wishbone crossmember and as for the bed floor, I am currently raising mine and going with wood.

If you need any other pics let me know I can take them of whatever you want.

Re: anyone running the sd rear wishbone system?

thanks for the pics chaos. Sad part is that the 1 piece is stayin so I'm not goin to be able to run this kit for that reason alone. I liked it because of the wishbone so there's no need for a locator, plus the ability to hit some nice sides with the truck. I definitely want a bat on bar set up, so I think I'm gonna go with the kp canti set up.

with the wood bed, are you gonna raise the whole floor or do a hump with wood. I've always wanted to see what a wood step raise looked like.

Re: anyone running the sd rear wishbone system?

I am raising the whole floor, only reason is because I still plan to use it for my street bike and with a hump my 1000 wont clear!
