Unless you can find one used your probably sol. There arent really any deals to be had on snap on tools. You can check ebay.

Re: Any places to save money on

I compared the Makita to the Snap On tool. I picked the top of the line for both. The SO makes 75 ft lbs more torque than the M. But the SO is $540 and the M is $400. $140 bucks for 75 ft lbs and of course the cool factor of having a Snap On tool.

Re: Any places to save money on

I have one myself. I don't think I would recommend you buy one unless you can get one for dirt cheap. 2 years or less and the batteries are junk.
to me it is like having a drinking buddy help you. after a while he gets drunk and is completely worthless when you need him most.

Re: Any places to save money on

I`d be curious about those. They make the best air impact I`ve seen lately.I wonder who makes the Snap-On,could be IR.I`m sure they don`t.

Re: Any places to save money on

Heck for 500 bucks I'ld drag out the air hose and my litle mac AW2800 3/8 impact. Now that is the best 200 bucks I've ever spent. That little thing is ruthless.

There are times and places where there is no compressor. When I am home I have no problem using the compressor, hoses, and IR air impact, rachet, etc. The garage where I am working on my Jimmy I can't have a compressor and don't want to spend $4-500 on the wrong one.
