Someone else's 48 Project?

I have the chance to buy someone's unfinished project. 68 cab, s-10 frame, which has been primed and has a 9" ford read installed with air bag suspension. Cab mounts already attached and rear end installed. The bed is an 88 fullsize fleetside with 13" cut out of the center, with fiblerglass 48 fenders to mount to the outside. He has a model built to show what it will look like and its not bad. No drivetrain, wiring, interior or rear brakes. Now for a couple of questions: 1. Has anyone ever seen a completed truck with a bed like this? 2. He planned on putting an auto trans in it, I was to run a 4 sp Muncie, clutch pedal & linkage, how much trouble would I run into.

Thanks,

Yes that is a typo, I meant 48 cab. Thanks for the photo. I am just not sure about that bed. I would have to have a working tailgate, I want a shop truck.
