Engine VIN
I finally found the VIN number from the block of my 216 engine, its BJCA807672. Does anybody know how to determine what year that was made and which factory? What else does it tell me?
Thanks

Re: Engine VIN
great site, so based on that is this correct....
1951 Series 3100, 216ci Truck Engine w/HD Clutch would it be the 807,672th engine the Flint, MI plant built or the 807,672th engine that the entire Chevrolet Corporation plant built that particular year? Also, what does "HD Clutch" mean... Heavy Duty Clutch? Thanks

Re: Engine VIN
Upon removing the spark plugs and the cover behind them, we discovered another hidden set of hand-stamped alpha-numberic numbers... these are
BD760111 (the three ones were actually stamped as III) Can anybody tell me how this new found number BD760111 differs from the engine block number BJCA807672 we found yesterday? Thanks
