Re: Opinion on hid lights

If indeed you are talking about headlights it has been discussed and it has been done. Check out the pitcures below. Protrash64 is currently working out the bugs of a phanthom grille with headlights behind it. Check out his build thread buy clicking on the link, go to page 6, thread #146 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=342934&page=6

Re: Opinion on hid lights

I have a 71 chev PU with 7" round lights that are the same as the 60's model C-10's. I bought the Euro 7 " round headlights from LMC and then purchased a HID system and installed it into the Euro lights. The lights are bright and work great. You have to order H-4 Hi-Low HID systems to make it work. The bulbs for the Euro lights are H-4 style. I also have a 65 Chev C-10 with Halogen headlights with the heavy duty headlight harness from LMC and they are bright as well. The heavy duty wiring harness eliminates the low voltage problems that are systematic with the early C-10's.

Re: Opinion on hid lights

I like mine. I also ran them off of relays. Here is a side by side of old sealed beam and the new projection lights.
