bike hauler 64

Hey everyone. Got myself a 64 lwb as a trade for bike parts ( forks, carb, tires). last build i did was over 20 years ago. 67 chevelle. I forgot what it was like! I am calling it my can of worms. So I took most of it apart and pulled the engine (283). It was a 8 lug. but i have converted to 6 for gearing. found a 68 12bolt , 3:73 gearing. installed a classic ent disc brake kit up front. with their 8lug conversion 2.5"drop spindles, and 1.5 springs. still wasnt low enough. So I cut off a coil and its ok now. Built myself a 383. Not pretty to look at but should run good. RPM intake, holley 650dp, Comp solid cam, 9.8 compression. ported 882 heads. Turbo 400. This is gonna be my daily driver. And most of all my shop truck( for real). I air bagged the back and c notched it so I can easily load bikes into it. I wish I had started out with something less rusty but itll do !

Re: bike hauler 64

Thanks! Yes it came with the box. it was running when I got it. Motor was extremely tired and owner didnt take care of it. Now that I know how to download pics Ill start posting more. Question: this thing is a c20 custom. Is there a difference in the suspension "A arms" other than the springs. compared to a c10? like i said I had to cut the front springs 1 coil so it wouldnt look like im off roading! 2.5 spindles, 1.5 spring and lower profile tires still didnt do it.
