I once had a 72 BB parts truck that had the aux battery tray, it had this radiator bottle and bracket on the pass side to hold both ww & radiator bottles. The truck did not have the ww bottle in the bracket when I got it. I know that originally the ww bottle goes on the drivers side with only one bottle. I installed the aux battery tray on the drivers side and want to add the ww bottle in this bracket. The original ww bottle moves around and is not secure in the other bracket. Two questions, is this the original bracket for ww & radiator bottles on BB trucks with aux battery tray on the pass side? If so, which ww bottle goes in there?

Yes thats the one I have on the driver side, the original ww bottle and bracket. Did GM not use a radiator recovery coolant bottle? I thought I saw it as an option on some SPIDS's? The combo ww & rad bracket I have installed looks original, if not for our trucks, then for what? Ideas? Thanks.

Here is a pic I saved of a BB truck when I was looking for an overflow bottle. I don't know if you could order the aux battery and overflow bottle together. If someone knows better please post a pic showing how both options/accessories fit together.

that overflow bottle is either a dealer installed one or an aftermarket one. You can still get one today at auto zone that looks very close to that.
All the factory lit I've seen never mentions an overflow bottle, but there was a SPID posted on here from a fleet truck, may have been millitary if memory serves, but it was listed right there. That one is the only proof I have ever seen.

The one Dantip posted is the correct dealer install as well as correct fleet install. I have the same unit in my bb truck mounted in the same location. Bob in Kingsport was offering a cap that will work on the ww bottle(an extra ww bottle) effectively making it a overflow if you wanted. think he wanted $30 for cap.

Here are a few pics of the dealer-installed accessory (shown in the accessory catalog) overflow system. The instructions show it fastening to the driver's side of the core support. There is a hose run from the overflow connection on the radiator to the bottom of the overflow bottle. The NOS kit also contains a pressure/vacuum radiator cap needed for the overflow system.
