To remove the top you remove a series of bolts down each side, and then cut the leaded seams on each side front and back. At the moment I don't recall what I've done in the rear opening, though I've tried to preserve those because so often the door opening is rusty.

I'm not a body man, but I think you are going to want to straighten that bent internal structure before opening the top to replace the damaged part of the roof.

I enjoyed the Volvo pictures. I'm another one who has looked at an old 122 as a possible project. I thought of it as a fun first car for my kids. Since they are grown and gone and I never bought one I guess that's not going to happen.
