Re: 1969 Father & Son Project
Remember the "Swiss Cheese" in the inner roof panel, it's now gone. The replacement panel came with a raised portion where the rear view mirror mounts, is that something factory on later year trucks, perhaps 71,72? We liked the way it looked so, on it went.

Re: 1969 Father & Son Project
I know that was a bunch of time! I'm not too sure about the hump you are talking about. I will have to look at some of our cabs? Hmmm? Keep the pics coming.

The hump is a 71' only thing that I am aware of. I have it in my 71' and I know 72's don't have it. 72's had windshield mounted unless they were within the very first couple made in 72'. I know a guy who had one of the first of the 72's built and it had the hump from what must have been a carry over cab from 71'. Trevor

Re: 1969 Father & Son Project
Started the body work on the cab. We got the rockers and the right side of the firewall pretty well finished, 80 grit then primed.
Also went and talked to the guy who painted my truck. Since he did a great job on my truck, I was thinking about getting him to paint the boy's truck too. He was working on a customer's real nice 57 Bel Air. I did rust repairs on it for him a couple months ago.

Re: 1969 Father & Son Project
Well, no updates on the truck to report since last week. FREAKING SNOW getting in the way of our plans to work on the truck. 24 inches last weekend and another eight or so inches today. Because I live on a major road, every time the plows come by, my driveway gets plowed shut. With the 24 inch snow alone, I had a 4-1/2 foot high mound across my driveway. We've had somewhere around 70 inches so far this winter; I'm running out of places to put it.
Also, the boy and I had to replace a hub bearing on my 2003 2500HD outside last night. Glad I had a large tarp and a torpedo heater. ![]()
