Install new cab mounts - 67 K-20 fleetside

any advice from those who've installed new cab mounts ? Is is just a matter of putting 4x4's under the reinforced floor channels and jacking up the cab carefully ?

also, after putting in new cab mounts, can I expect the lower belt line of the bed to no longer line up with the cab ?

Thanks for any advice out there.

On mine i used a floor jack and some 2X4's, they went in real easy. Getting the old bolts out in the cab was the hardest. I would soak with WD 40 for about a week before attacking.

the rubber mounts?

I used the OEM style from LMC... you should get your cab back to stock height since the bed is firmly mounted... Most guys don't recommend poly mounts due to the stiffness.

thanks mike - I did get the rubber ones from LMC --- I'd read alot of posts saying the polys gave a stiff ride.

Use PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench on the bolts instead of WD-40. It works a whole lot better.
