Cool Ball Joints

Hello out there, I'm new to this so I hope I'm doing this right??

I have 1969 C10 (2WD), I'm converting the front drums brakes to disc brakes. I found the complete disc. brake assembly (spindles, rotors, calipers, dust shields) off of a 1972 C10. My question is will the upper and lower ball joints from the 1969 work on the spindles from the 1972 or do I need to replace them?

Thx

G'day and welcome from downunder

If you are looking for specific advice you should head to that section - gets you a better chance for an answer.

In the mean time tell us more about your ride and maybe share a few pix

Re: Ball Joints

My apologies my friend, I appreciate the reply. I'm new to this forum thing, I will look for the appropriate section an ask the question. Right now I'm in the process of upgrading my 1969 C10 with power steering, power brakes, etc. As soon as I get photos I will post. I seen the photos of your ride, nice.

You have a G,day downunder

Re: Ball Joints

Welcome to the forum. It takes some figurin' to get used to this forum thing. This is the first one I have really used. The people are really helpful here, and have some awesome trucks. Enjoy and good luck.

You need to change them to 71-72 specific ball joints.

If your '69 ball joints are GOOD,... you can buy conversion spindle that will bolt right on. (Companies like ECE, Belltech, Western Chassis, or CPP sell them)

Are you looking for stock height spindles or drop spindles?
They are available either way.

Also,... WELCOME to the board.
Come look around in the "Suspension Section"!
