Coil springs

Hello,
The 67-72 chevy trucks can use the 73-87 front coil springs, right?

whatta bout drop spindles? I have 71 chevy 1/2 frontend setup, can I use say..78 1/2 ton 2x4 drop spindles?

Yes.
With the correct ball joints and outer tie rod ends.

71-72 upper ball joints are a different part number than the 73-87 upper ball joint.
71-87 lower ball joints are all the same.

So,... you could get away with changing just the upper ball joints and outer tie rods.
