Re: How many cross braces?

It depends on long bed or short. Long bed has one more than short. This drawing shows long bed. (Courtesy of LMC Truck.com)

Re: How many cross braces?

Wow, excellent photo SBC! I'm in the middle of the conversion for my 68'. I use the same supporting boards but did not use the smaller boards for the reinforcement supports. After seeing this I plan to set it up the same way. Thanks!

Re: How many cross braces?

thanks, your earlier photos actually helped me a lot. i put this thing together myself which was pretty touch but got it done. i would have run boards all the way across instead of the small ones but was short on wood.

the boards you see i cut from the wood frame sent with the new headboard sent by Mar-k. hahaha

Re: How many cross braces?

The frame rises up at this point and the brace needs to be shorter to keep the wood flat and support the wheel tubs
