That sounds great, but if you want to invest in the stainless, the freon, the tools to unload the freon and refill the system and the expertise, then it would definitely outdo the cleaning requirements. I do not put a lot in upkeep and maintenance on mine, since I cleaned them up. The metal treatment keeps them from turning so fast and I imagine that I work them once each year.
