Re: gauge questions
well it depends on if the it has the mechanical gauges or not. i bought a cluster out of a 76 for a 1980 that i had, and i couldn't use it cause i had the electric gauge set up instead of the mechanical gauge setup. but my guess is that you have mechanical gauges. make sure that you have the correct senders and i would rob the connector from the parts rig, which will make swapping clusters all the easier, and i would also use the bezel from the parts rig too. and if that one is to thrashed then i would start yard crawling. i've pulled quite a few nice bezels from trucks in different yards.

Re: gauge questions
You'll need the oil line from the gauge to the block from the donor truck. I don't think the idiot light version would have a hard line, but I could be wrong. You'll also need the temp sender from a "gauge" truck. The idiot light version is different.

Re: gauge questions
ok thanks
when you say ' rob the connector from the parts rig' you are refering to the long narrow one that every thing plugs into, correct? why do i need the bezel? are the holes different on the gauge bezel? truck has been picked over already so no bezel. it also still has the 73-74 grill on it, i want it, but i have no use for it....OH WAIT THE BRACKETS FOR THE GRILL! my buddy wants to buy it for the axles so i might get parts through him

Re: gauge questions
yes. the idiot light bezel only has 2 holes in it, where as the gauge bezel has 6 holes for all the gauges and lights. and the connector i'm talking about is the one that plugs into the back of the cluster.
