Color Experts?
What color would go good with intense blue pearl?
Thinking of painting everything below the lower trim another color. I drive the truck every day, and that area seems to take a hit. As long as I'm going to touch it up anyway... Just an idea - Opinions? |

Opinions? Well, we probably don't have too many of those around here *cough cough*...
How about refrigerator white? It's easy to squirt and hides dings and scratches pretty well. And it'd be easy to touch up with a brush without everybody standing around gawking at the touch-up spots like would happen with dark colors. Also, you might want to look at the POR-15 folks. They've got a couple of solutions you might be interested in. One is an ultra-durable paint, which you could use down low in the high chip areas. It comes in a handful of colors so you'd probably want to match the rest of the lower to their colors. Or... they have an ultra-durable clearcoat that you could squirt over whatever color acrylic enamel you wanted. I'm going with the second solution for my body-color painted bumper. I can't give any input into how good the product actually is as I haven't used it yet... but it's sitting in the garage just waiting for me to get around to it. Kenneth

Thanks XXL.
After staring at (and appreciating) your pictorial posts on the "general" list, I figured you would suggest something flesh colored. Keep 'em comin' - so to speak. Any ideas on color? Everything on the truck is blue, black or chrome. Thanks |

Silver would be my color of choice also, given the blue body color. Silver comes in a lot of different shades, so you can pick one that complements, rather than stands out against the blue. (Ever go to the paint store for white ceiling paint? Who knew there were 300 shades of white???)
