Installing inside hood release

I have a 1977 Chev c20.
It is fitted with a hood release at the front, can I change it to an inside release system for greater security?
Has anybody done it?
Thanks

Re: Installing inside hood release

I looked at those, is it a straight forward bolt in procedure to add the Hood latch, by removing the other one?

There's some pics an explanations of the differences. Looks like LMC sells some of the needed parts, but not all of them.

Re: Installing inside hood release

As life passes I notice there are always people who want to be the first to destroy or rubbish good ideas and service rather than stay silent or encourage good things.

I note the speed at which some of you rubbish LMC, they are only making an offer to sell you something, you do not have to purcahse it.
From what the others say, junk yard bits are not easy to purchase let alone find.
So think about looking at the bright side instead of falling over yourselves trying to find fault.

In my experience fast fault finders usually have small penisis and never finsh a project.

Re: Installing inside hood release

Money saved buying good used OEM parts can be spent on other parts thus getting a project done quicker on a tight budget....

He has everything needed to change to an inside hood release. You just need to swap out the top of the radiator support (it bolts on), and run the cable. It's not too bad.
