Hey man, like what you are doing so far. Going to have to agree with spray bomb. We use a fine white sand that quickrete sells. works really well out of our blaster.

On my frame we blasted it then I applied a metal etch sealer then painted it black single stage. Which is base and clear all together. But Its what ever you prefer. The John Deere paint is probably the same thing, and it is prob a little cheaper to. Keep up the good work and post some pics when you get it.
If you do it right the firs time and you plan on showing it and making it nice eventually, then I wouldn't bed liner it paint looks better and it would be a pain to get the bed liner of years down the road unless you blast it again. Just my thoughts!!
