Help Steering Column Repair Questions!

We found this manual transmission steering column, but something don't look right. Anyone have a guide on how and what to replace inside the column. This is packed with som much greese we can't begin to see what parts are inside. Any information would help!

I can only guess, so a bearing at the top and bottom ,with a seal. The housing looks like the cover is missing for a safety switch delete.

It looks bent to me. My 68 collum is one long shast as this one looks like with out the bend.
