stock grill or aftermarket on 77
well i just finished up rebuilding my motor in the 77 and i got the interior the way i want it and now im going to be working on the outside now. Well when i got the truck it had an aftermarket grill and as i was putting the bumper back on i decided to put a stock grill on.
So what do you guys think keep the stock grill or not. I kinda like the stock one better since it gives it the orginal look. And yes i know i didnt put the chrome back on above and below the grill

I always liked stock. while im not big on paying for free advertisments, i do think they look plain without the bowtie.

Re: stock grill or aftermarket on 77
not bad either way...but I would have to go against the grain and say I like the aftermarket a little better. I will agree on the bowtie statement .I think I am going to go with a billet on mine with the billet bowtie emblem. It's all about what you like though, if you like the stock then I say rock that stock grille.

Man you're gonna get mixed opinions here... Everyone likes something different...
I've seen trucks that looks amazing with the factory grille in, and i've seen some amazing builds with billet or aftermarket inserts. So basically it's up to you and what you like the most.

Re: stock grill or aftermarket on 77
I think it looks much meaner with the stock grille. With that lift and big tires I think the mean look is best with that truck. Go stock!

It looks good with the stock grille... maybe with a different color on the bowtie though.... make it stick out some more

Re: stock grill or aftermarket on 77
yeah i think i might leave the stock one on it ill have to put the 2 chrome strips back on it to get a better more finished look. I plan on getting the body straight and paint like a gunmetal grey so it would look original i always see truck with the aftermarket ones so i want mine to have a little orginality. And thanks for all the suggestions.

It would be some work, but you could try and mix the two. I like both of them on there. I think whichever one you finally decide on will be a good choice.

I just want it to be a clean and simple look and wanted to see if more people like the orginal look or a more stylish look.

Re: stock grill or aftermarket on 77
It's all ultimately personal preference but I like stock better myself. There are some really good aftermarket grills out there but for some reason they always looked, well, cheap to me. I don't know why but I have never really been partial to the look.
