Re: 69 gmc c10 disc swap

Don't forget that any of the 73-87 half ton's will be a direct bolt-in (You just have to modify two holes and drill two new ones.) I just completed this on my 70 and am very pleased.

There's plenty of that vintage lying around.

Edit: Don't forget to get the MC/Booster prop valve from the newer truck as well... will save a lot of hassle and cash.

you're speaking of the whole IFS (crossmember and all)?

The Master Cylinder/Booster prop valve bolts right up? No other issues there?

Sorry for not introducing myself, will post an intro tonight, picked up the '70 LWB this Tuesday night...my head's spinning with ideas!

Re: 69 gmc c10 disc swap

ok so i understand the front cross member swap but id like to also swap the rear to 5 lug and have read that the axles are different is this true? can i just swap late model axles into my 10 bolt or do i need to modify a late 10 bolt to fit my coil spring truck?
