1961 Suburban finally home

Bought this on Ebay on Dec.24/09, finally picked up and brought to its new home in Canada. Its a solid AZ truck, probably saw more salt today on its way home than it did its whole life in AZ. Not really sure how I'm going to finish it up, I've got a '07 5.3 that will probably find its way under the hood, and after looking at all the lowered trucks here, I may plan the same stance for this one

I am so jealous! I want a 60-61 burb so bad and with a tailgate!

Good work. Any interior shots?

That's awesome! My brother moved to Rustario a few years ago. He brought a '90 Toyota pickup with him from BC and he'd get people staring at it in amazement that it was rust free. I can't imagine the looks you'll get with that beautiful burb.

DITTO. +1 on the tailgate! If you get tired of it, I know of a good home for it in MO...

Congrats on the recent purchase. Looks like it's in pretty decent shape. What does it have for drivetrain currently?

Great addition to the family. The first thing I would do is have a good coat of undercoating put on it, to help keep it rust-free. Great rig and please keep us posted on your progress.

Re: 1961 Suburban finally home

Welcome from another Burb Guy.

Our truck came from Arizona to Ohio a few years ago. Snowin' and blowin' outside but the Burb is warm and dry in garage. Spring can't come soon enough!

Nice truck, keep us posted.
