What's a good wiper vendor?
I'm ready for electric wipers and wonder who to make the buy from. Anyone had good or bad experiences on this?

A lot of the vendors sell the same kits. Also try Jim Carter Truck Parts and Bowtie Bits. Let us know what you come up with. I, for one will also (eventually) want to put a wiper(s) on my '46.

Re: What's a good wiper vendor?
I use the kits from Specialty Power Windows. They are made in USA and work great for custom installs. I put the wiper motor under the dash and ran the cable thorugh the windshield post on this 36.
http://www.hotroddynamics.com/Hines36Chevy.html I'm also installing one of these kits in a 57 Chevy with a custom firewall. |

Re: What's a good wiper vendor?
Most all the motors look the same; some have different material for brackets. My concern is to get the strongest and proper fitting brackets with the motor.

Re: What's a good wiper vendor?
In looking at their product it appears to be the identical wiper as all other vendors I have seen. That's at least 6 vendors with the same picture of the same wiper.
If that is the case the best place to buy a wiper is the cheapest place.

I agree these are some fine products. I have used them in 64-72 trucks. its alot of work installing them in these years but they work great. I bit pricey in cost and install but they are a fine product. I found most people do not want to pay the extra cost. Wipers don't seem to be a high priority to some especially when the cost so much. If going all out they are the way to go. |
